Let me tell ya

IT'S PAST MIDNIGHT

It's past midnight. Everyone is asleep except me. Well, me and
a mockingbird.
Earlier I had been serenaded by a family of bob-whites.

The fan in the window pulls the cool fresh air over me.
And the mockingbird is yelling at every species of bird within
a mile radius(or so)

Birdie IM's(instant messages) Very amazing to listen to.

On the cool wind from time to time I get a faint fragrance
of my magnolias and the last blooms of the privet hedges.
OH, and there was honeysuckle

It's almost time to crank up the air conditioners.
I feel imprisoned when we have to shut all the windows.
Spring is my very favorite season. I have 10 double windows
in my living room and 8 are wide open.
But if I don't close up; it would be very hard for me to breathe.

The medium drone of the window fan is also a soothing sound.
Almost like a yoga mantra;
aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhuuuummmmmmmmmm it helps mute
some of the harsh ringing in my ears.

I believe it's called "white noise"? I have several favorite white
noises. The fan; water fountains; the drone of a lawnmower,
gentle pinging of a wind chime.

I collect both; water fountains and wind chimes. And for mothers
day my daughter brought me a "gazing ball"!! My next collectable!

Well friends, I have visited long enough. I'm gonna mosey on.
Perhaps tonight the mockingbird will be able to sing me to sleep.
